Ronald David Wood is an English rock musician, best known as a member of the Rolling Stones since 1975, and a member of Faces and the Jeff Beck Group.

1969 Event

Left the Jeff Beck Group with Rod Stewart. They joined three former members of the Small Faces to form Faces, one of the great boozy, chaotic rock bands of the early 1970s.

1975 Event

Joined the Rolling Stones, initially on a temporary basis after Mick Taylor's departure. Became permanent the following year. He's been their guitarist for over 50 years now.

1989 Life

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a Rolling Stone. Also an accomplished painter whose work has been exhibited in galleries worldwide. He once traded a Rembrandt sketch for drugs and later got it back.

2020 Event

Beat lung cancer after surgery. Continued performing and painting into his late 70s. His twin daughters, born in 2016 when he was 68, made him one of rock's oldest new fathers.
