Robert Bartleh Cummings, known professionally as Rob Zombie, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, filmmaker, and actor. His music and lyrics are notable for their horror and sci-fi themes, and his live shows have been praised for their elaborate shock rock theatricality. He has sold an estimated 15 million albums worldwide. He rose to fame as a founding member and the frontman of heavy metal band White Zombie, with whom he released five studio albums and one techno remix album.

Born Robert Bartleh Cummings in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Both parents were carnival workers. The family lived in the house that the serial killer H.H. Holmes once owned. He didn't learn this until he was an adult.
Formed White Zombie in New York City with future girlfriend Sean Yseult. They played small CBGB-circuit venues for years. The early sound was noisy, unwelcome, and ahead of its time.
White Zombie's Astro-Creep: 2000 went platinum. "More Human than Human" was everywhere. The band combined metal riffs with horror movie samples and robotic beats.
Went solo. Hellbilly Deluxe sold over three million copies. "Dragula" and "Living Dead Girl" became his signature tracks. He started directing horror films.
Directed House of 1000 Corpses. Studios had shelved it for three years because they thought it was too violent. Lionsgate released it. It grossed $16 million on a $7 million budget.
