After serving in WWII and being wounded in Italy, he opened a bookshop in Dartmouth, Devon, with his wife. He deliberately distanced himself from his father's work.

1974 Event

Published The Enchanted Places, a memoir about growing up as the real Christopher Robin. He wrote of the bullying at school and his complicated feelings about his father's fame.
