Thomas DeCarlo Callaway-Burton, known professionally as CeeLo Green, is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, record producer, and actor. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, he came to initial prominence as a member of the Southern hip-hop group Goodie Mob in 1991. After three albums with the group, Green signed with Arista Records to release his solo albums Cee-Lo Green and His Perfect Imperfections (2002) and Cee-Lo Green... Is the Soul Machine (2004). He is known for his soul-infused delivery in hip hop and R&B, displayed in his signature song "Crazy" and his solo single "Fuck You."

Born Thomas DeCarlo Callaway in Atlanta, Georgia. His father, an ordained minister, died when he was two. His mother, a firefighter, was paralyzed in a car accident when he was 18.
Co-founded the hip-hop group Goodie Mob in Atlanta, part of the Dungeon Family collective alongside OutKast.
"Crazy," a collaboration with Danger Mouse under the name Gnarls Barkley, became the first song to top the UK chart on downloads alone. It reached No. 2 in the US.
Released "Forget You" (originally titled with a different F-word). The song peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won a Grammy.
Joined The Voice as a coach alongside Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. He appeared on four seasons through 2013.
